The story follows on from Monsters of Andorr. Gavin, Jeni, Mara and Vale have spent most of another year at The Mount, their mountain home in Andorr. Shadow has stumbled upon a long forgotten mine in the Andorran Highlands where slaves are being used to mine the rich veins of gold.
